At the Child Alert Center, we respect your privacy.
When you register your child or children with Child Alert Center, we will collect four types of information from you.
Contact information includes your name, residence address, email address, and home, mobile, and work telephone numbers. This information will be used only to get in contact with you. It will not under any circumstances be sold or used in any way for marketing purposes. It is as well-protected as your financial information or your child’s personal data.
Financial information we need includes your credit card/debit card number and expiration date. This data is used only for billing purposes. It is directly and instantly transmitted to our credit-card merchant and is not stored at our site, so your financial security is assured.
Legal information is a simple verification that you have legal custody of the child you are registering or have retained parental rights, and have the authority to make determinations about whether a child is in fact missing.
Your child’s personal identifying information consists of photos and physical description. You will fill out the Child Alert Center registration form so that we have all the information law enforcement agencies and child protection and rescue agencies need in case of an emergency. Together, your child’s photo and personal information comprise a profile we can use to create printed materials and get the message out electronically. Again, this information is secured by advanced technology, to protect against any intrusion on your child’s privacy.
The only time any information from our site may be disclosed to an outside entity is when we are compelled to do so by a court order, as part of legal or judicial proceedings.
If the management of the Child Alert Center changes, departing management cannot access, alter, or withdraw your information from our records.
If the Child Alert Center as a corporate entity is dissolved or sold, your information will remain stored in secure form and will be transferred along with any other corporate assets and data. You will, however, be informed of such legal changes and will have ample opportunity to remove your data.
